Volunteer Opportunities

“A volunteer is a person who believes that people

can make a difference – and is willing to prove it.”

Muslimat Al-Nisaa Volunteer Opportunities

Several opportunities are available for individuals wishing to volunteer. If time or distance prevents you from volunteering onsite but you want to promote our cause, consider volunteering for one of the “donation drives” or “fundraising projects.

All volunteers are encouraged to spread the word about Muslimat Al-Nisaa to

friends, communities and organizations who would be interested in providing financial support, volunteering, or giving donations.

We Are Looking For Volunteers in the following areas!
Al-Nisaa Health Center

Health Care Professional Volunteers Needed Now!

At the center of every clinic are volunteer healthcare professionals. We invite and enable health care professionals and other interested individuals to nurture and give support by providing health care to a world in need. We welcome volunteers with the following specializations: MD’s, DO’s, OD’s, DDS’s, RN’s, DC’s, PA’s, Medical Assistants, PhD’s (psychologists), marriage and family therapists, and others. All professionals must be current and licensed to practice their specialty. General and family practitioners, pediatricians, and obstetricians and gynecologists are the medical specializations our clients we serve request most frequently, but we do have occasional need for those with other specializations. Al-Nisaa clinic has a high demand for optometry and ophthalmology services. Most residents/clients we serve have no access to local eye care. Optometrists need to bring eye charts and any other tools or instruments needed to provide the service.

Donation Drive Volunteers

There are many options available for holding a donation drive to benefit Muslimat Al-Nisaa residents.  Our residents are always in need of food, clothing, personal items and other basic needs items. By helping families in crisis meet their most basic needs, we can begin to put them on the path to lasting solutions, helping them to transform their lives and strengthen the community we share.

To hold a successful drive:

1. Recruit volunteers and determine their roles/jobs.

2. Choose the type of drive you will hold. What items will you be collecting?

3. Plan when to hold your drive.

4. Develop incentives.

5. Publicize the drive – create posters, and get the word out!

6. Coordinate the collection, sorting, and delivery of donations.

7. Deliver/log in donations with Muslimat Al-Nisaa volunteer coordinator.
